Overview:

Utilize the processes and systems to support Cephalon’s contracting execution and reimbursements for the Medicaid Drug Rebate in accordance with OBRA ’90, Veterans Healthcare Act of 1992, OBRA ’93, DRA/Final Rule etc.  Administers the timely and accurate processing of rebates and discounts to ensure corporate compliance to contractual obligations as well as ensure compliance to legislatively mandated regulations.  Provides communication to internal process areas, field sales and Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS), related to the discount and pricing changes resulting from contracting initiatives. Serves as resource for compliance to legislation and regulations governing sales to the Government market segment.



Responsibilities:

Medicaid:

  • Administers the receipt, validation, processing and timely payments of Medicaid rebates, State Pharmaceutical Assistance Programs rebates and supplemental rebates to state agencies.
  • Ensures compliance with all CMS legislated rebate processing, pricing and reporting requirements.
  • Actively participate in monthly/quarterly legislative pricing calculations
  • Actively participates in dispute resolution with state Medicaid agencies and CMS.
  • Builds and maintains working relationships with state Medicaid agencies and CMS
  • Complies and reports quarterly Medicaid rebate reserve estimates to Finance.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests pertaining to medicaid rebate and sales data.
  • Maintain and manage Medicaid rebate processing system
  • Coordinates the receipt of state supplemental and SPAP bid proposals and responses


Qualifications:

Education:    

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.

 

Experience:   

  • Medicaid drug rebate contracting experience
  • Knowledge of government price reporting legislation (OBRA ’90, VHCA ‘92, OBRA ’93, DRA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of government contracting customer markets.
  • Knowledge of chargeback processes and wholesaler distribution systems.
